| I hope someone can help me. I have been living in an apartment 3 years nearly. Previously, housemates have left and I have replaced them mid-contract. 9.9.08 is the end of our next contract. On 27.8.08 the landlord announced that he is raising the rent from 1890 shekels each to 2400. My housemate has decided to leave before the contract ends and I have decided to stay and look for new accomodation more slowly. In the meantime I have been looking for someone to replace my housemate, but with no luck - as the apartment is not worth 4800 and noone is coming to see it. It is now 6 days until the end of the contract. I have not yet signed the new one. Does this mean that I have to be out of the apartment before Tuesday or to pay 4800?! I cannot read my contract because it is in Hebrew. Generally my landlord is lovely, but he is not very flexible about this matter. I would be grateful for any advice! Thank you, Lisa
