You're a qualified solicitor in Israel who will be required to explain contract and commercial law issues to business and technical colleagues, and then take their input to address their concerns during the negotiation process. Additionally, you'll collaborate with Google legal teams throughout Europe and the U.S., advising on localisation issues when needed.RequirementsBA/BSc/LLB degree preferred with a strong academic record. Graduate degree (LL.M. or equivalent) from an English or North American law school is a plus.Qualified solicitor in Israel (dual US or UK qualification a plus), with experience in private practice or with an in-house team in a technology or new media companyExpertise in contract law (with a focus on content licensing and IT contracts), intellectual property law (copyrights, trademarks, database rights), commercial law (sales, distribution, unfair competition rules). Knowledge of corporate law and data protection law is a plus.Excellent understanding of online technologies and services as well as the media and audiovisual industry.Excellent written and oral skills in Hebrew and English. Fluency in another European language is also beneficial.Good business judgment, hard working, well organised and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.Flexibility (including some travel) and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters, and a sense of humour, commitment to professionalism, commitment to customer service and willingness to work hard a must.ResponsibilitiesAnswer a variety of commercial requests from Business Development, Advertising Sales, Marketing and other Google business clients in IsraelAdvise all departments on legal issues and risks, complex deal structures, company policies, intellectual property and data protection.Serve as a liaison with outside counsel on issues arising under local laws.Draft and negotiate non-standard agreements as well as prepare and maintain standard forms that comply with company policies and local law.Summarise and communicate legal concepts for use by business and sales staff.
